For the 2026-27 class year we will be studying James and the first half of Genesis. Join us first for a look at one of the most practical books of the Bible as we are challenged by James to live out our faith. Then explore how it all began as we take a close look at the first half of Genesis (we will be studying the second half of Genesis for our 2027-28 class year.).
We have 2 location options for our class next year, when you register. We have our Adult Women Wednesday morning class that includes our NextGen Ministry (all ages of children and youth) that meets at Crosswinds Wesleyan Church in Canandiagua. This class will meet Wednesday mornings from 10:15-12:00. We also have groups meeting at Farmington Community Church on Thursday mornings from 10:00-11:30. At Farmington, we also have a NextGen Ministry for children ages 9 and under. Registration for the 2026-27 class year is now open. Some of our groups tend to fill up quickly, so please register ASAP.
As a participant in CBS, you will receive a course book for individual study or can choose to use the online lessons. You will find encouraging discussion and vibrant community in your core group and receive effective teaching on applying the Scripture passages during our teaching time each week. In your lesson book, you will find insightful commentaries to enrich your study. We believe that you will find our CBS classes support each participant in a caring community.
We meet on Wednesday morning at Crosswinds Wesleyan Church. We also have classes at Farminington Community Church on Thursday mornings from 10:00-11:30.
The short New Testament book of James shows us the importance of putting feet to our faith and living out what we believe. In the first half of the book of Genesis we will take a close look at how it all began, and see God's redemtive plan put into motion.
